Do I need a visa to visit Hong Kong?

Many nationalities can visit Hong Kong visa-free for short stays, but eligibility, length of stay and conditions vary and can change. Always check the official Hong Kong Immigration Department (ImmD) website before you travel. This guide does not publish a definitive legal visa list.

Where should first-timers go?

On a short trip, focus on Central, Tsim Sha Tsui and Victoria Peak. With more days, add Lantau (Big Buddha), Stanley or Sai Kung. Theme-park fans can plan Disneyland or Ocean Park.
